Juanita "Janie" A. Lugo's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Juanita “Janie” A. Lugo, who departed this life peacefully on November 29, 2025, at the age of 77. Janie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose generosity, strength of spirit, and signature red lipstick made her truly unforgettable to all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gilbert Gonzales, and her stepson, Richard Lugo.
She is survived by her loving husband, Carlos N. Lugo, Sr.; her beloved daughter, Lorinda Saldana, and son-in-law, Michael Saldana; her caring stepdaughter, Nicole M. Lugo, and son-in-law, Atheir Mohamad; as well as her stepsons, Christopher M. Lugo and Carlos N. Lugo, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Lucy Lugo.
Janie was a proud grandmother to Gilbert, Tristan, Khloe, Desiree, Devin, Destinee, Adriann, Atheir, Anthony, six additional grandchildren, as well as fifteen great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life.
Janie dedicated her life to her family—especially to her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy. She cherished dancing the night away with her husband, Carlos, and never failed to brighten any room with her beautiful smile. Although her time with us ended too soon, her warmth, strength, and loving spirit will live on in the hearts of all whose lives she touched. Her legacy will endure forever.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 4:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Delgado Funeral Home, 2200 W. Martin St., San Antonio, TX 78207. Services will conclude at 9:00 https://p.m.The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 State Hwy 16 South, Von Ormy, TX 78073.
Janie is and will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and her loving memory will forever remain in our hearts.
