Juan Manuel Antu, Sr.'s Obituary
Juan Manuel Antu, Sr., devoted his life in baptism in 1970 as a Jehovah's Witness. Juan a faithful father, brother, and friend, died on Tuesday December 26, 2023, at the age of 83. Juan was born to the late Manuel and Maria Ignacia Antu on March 8, 1940, in Villa Union, Coahuila, Mexico. Juan is survived by his siblings Francisa Valadez, Jose Luis Antu, and Petra Mancha. His siblings Maria Luisa Rodriguez, Rosantina Garcia and Dora Alicia Maddox predeceased him in life.
Juan married Irma Mejia in July 1961. Juan is survived by his wife Irma and his seven children, Juan Antu Jr (wife Mary), Lydia Antu, Alfredo Antu (wife Cynthia), Carolina Salazar, Yesica Sanchez (husband Daniel), Abigail Meza (husband Juan), and Melissa Placio (husband Michael). Juan is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. As well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Both Juan and his family's hope is based on the promises held out in Revelation 21:3,4: "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind. And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
