Jose Alvarado's Obituary
Jose Alvarado, born March 17, 1918 in Asherton, Texas to Juan Alvarado and Josefa Banda Alvarado passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 surrounded by his family. Mr. Alvarado was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Juana Alvarado and son, Margarito Alvarado. He is survived by his daughters, Maria Josefa Alvarado, Guadalupe Alvarado, Maria Magdalena Gonzalez, and Rita Acuna (Efrain); sons, Luis Alvarado (Carmen) and Juan Jose Alvarado; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; also numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives, as well as many friends. Mr. Alvarado was strong in his faith and spiritual, reading his Bible daily. He had a calm and patient character. He enjoyed spending time with family and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed tending to his garden, auto mechanics, and the art of fine carpentry. Mr. Alvarado was a skilled storyteller and delighted in sharing his experiences with everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. Visitation will begin on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at the Camero Funeral Home. A Rosary Service will be held Monday Evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 12 noon at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church. Everyone is asked to meet at Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Camero Funeral Home.
