John Baptist Vega's Obituary
John Baptist Vega was born September 6, 1960 in Sacramento, California to Rodrigo and Carmen Vega. John passed away on September 28, 2021, at the age of 61 years old. John enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lake Jackson. John also enjoyed playing golf and he was also a die hard fan of the Boston Celtics, New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Abigail Vega; daughter Erica Lynn Perez; his parents Rodrigo and Carmen Vega; sister Martha Martinez; brothers Jose "Willie" Vega, Jorge R. Vega; niece Michelle M. Martinez; father-in-law Bartolome and mother-in-law Maria Del Val Ramos. He is survived by his children Jonathan R. Vega, Joshua Q. Vega, Jose A. Perez (Cecilia), Anthony R. Vega (Andrea), Isaac F. Perez (Sheetal Shresta); nephew Andres Ramos (Letasha); grandchildren Lilyana T. Perez, Mason T. Perez, Talia E. Perez (on the way- December 7, 2021), Gavin C. Vega; siblings Rene Vega (Maryjo Vega), Nilsa Vega, Jaime "Jimmie" Vega and Rodger Vega; brother-in-law Miguel Martinez including numerous family and friends. John was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all. John's life will be celebrated Friday, October 8, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 9626 Adams Hill Dr.,San Antonio, TX, 78245, followed by burial at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
