John Jesus Charles born on February 15, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas entered into eternal rest on September 18, 2025 at his home in Poteet, Texas at the age of 70. John is preceded in death his mother, Matilde Charles and brother, Ruben Charles. He is survived by his father, Adam Charles; wife, Hortencia Charles; children, John Pedro Charles, Jessica Charles, Sandra Charles; grandchildren, Damien Gonzalez, Brian Gonzalez, Emma Gonzalez, Jayden Rodriguez, Kailey Rodriguez, Skyy Tovar, Paul Tovar, Jr., Leylah Tovar, Lauryn Charles, Ashley Charles; great grandchild, Dalilah Gonzalez; siblings, Adam Charles, Jr., Alexander Charles, Maria I. Charles, Diana Deleon; his beloved pet, Bingo; as well as many other family members and friends. John loved to fish and could spend hours fixing his fishing rods. He loved his grandbabies and always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed trips to Kickapoo Casino, playing bingo, as well as staying up to date on political events. John will be missed by all who know and love him.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Camero Funeral Home Chapel from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Camero Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
