Joann Garcia's Obituary
Joann Garcia entered eternal rest on February 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 26, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents, George and Peggy Garcia.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her beloved husband, Rafael Ramos; her children, Melissa Garcia, Mario Estrada Jr. (Jessica), and Melanie Gutierrez (Armando); her stepdaughters, Roxanne Ramos; and Leticia Favela. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Cristian, Adrian, Aubrey, Riley, Malorie, Sierra, and Penelope.
Joann is also survived by her siblings: Jessie Garcia (Diane), June Duran (David), Jane Hernandez (Arnold), George Garcia (Rita), Jeannette Garcia, and Johnny Garcia (Becky), along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
A proud member of the Harlandale High School Class of 1978, Joann treasured every opportunity to gather with her classmates and reminisce about their high school days. She was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers and proudly sported her team’s colors.
Joann dedicated 24 years of service as a housekeeper at the Marriott, where she built lasting friendships and a community of coworkers who became like family.
Joann loved bringing family and friends together. She had a beautiful spirit and a gift for making others smile and laugh. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the visits, calls, texts, prayers, and continued support during this difficult time. Your love has brought comfort, peace, and strength to her and to all of us.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, February,26 2026 at 4:00pm at Delgado Funeral Home (2200 W. Martin St, San Antonio, Texas 78207) with a Rosary recited at 7:00pm. The Funeral Home will open at 10:00am on Friday, February 27, 2026. Funeral procession will depart at 12:45pm for a 1:30pm Mass at St Bonaventure Catholic Church (1918 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211). Interment will be held at First Memorial Park Cemetery (20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073).
