Jesus Martinez Lara's Obituary
Jesus Martinez Lara, 82, of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully in his home on July 4th, 2025. He leaves behind his wife Enedina Perez Cruz, his 5 children, 12 Grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 7 step children, along with countless nieces and nephews. He was born December 25th 1942 in Rincon de Tamayo, Guanajuato. He was a hard worker and loving father to his 5 children. He grew up baking in his hometown and with him he brought his gift to San Antonio proceeding with his baking career, creating the most breathtakingly delicious pan dulce and repostería you could’ve tasted. He loved his family to no end and was the best man you could have known. He was a devoted catholic and did all things through Dios. He was a mentor to some, a friend to most, and respected by all. He was generous, funny, had a heart of gold, and will be remembered as such. He will be considerably missed by everyone who one knew him in life.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, a Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
