Jerry G. Balderas' Obituary
Jerry Balderas 65, of San Antonio Texas passed away July 7, 2020. Preceded in death by son Eddie Balderas.
Jerry was born on April 8, 1955 to parents Isidora Garcia and Elias Balderas. After a beautiful courtship & a whirlwind romance he married the love of his life Margarita G Balderas of 30yrs surviving Jerry.
Jerry is also survived by his children Christopher Jerry Balderas, April Jerica Balderas, Jerry Balderas Jr., Martin RuizIII, Maria Elena Ruiz, Carlos Ruiz. Siblings Tommy Balderas, Jacob Balderas, Roger Balderas, Leticia Balderas, and Maricruz Balderas. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jerry loved playing sports and his teams were the Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. He also loved running the kitchen at one of San Antonio's original restaurants on the Riverwalk, "The Kangaroo Court", for over 20 years. He worked for City Public Service for over 25 years from where he retired from. He also had a passion for Tejano music, so much so that he would dance the night away with the love of his life. Jerry was a charismatic man. He enjoyed the company of friends and family, never trying to be the center of attention, however he always garnered it. His sense of humor was always followed by his Hollywood smile. The star is still burning bright, your memory will live on. You left this world and God has welcomed his son to his place in heaven. As you look above on us during this difficult time, we cry, but we also celebrate the life of Jerry Balderas the man, the legend, the friend, the father, the grandfather and loving husband by remembering how you touched us all. Your loving memory will be with us always. You will be tremendously missed.
