Jaime Arroyo Jr.'s Obituary
Jaime Arroyo Jr., known affectionately to his close circle as “KJ,” passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 37. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on October 10, 1988.
Jaime is survived by his parents, Jaime Arroyo and Diana Hinostroza; his wife Mayra Fernandez, who he married on December 27, 2022; son, James Arroyo; daughter, Naylea Lopez; sister, Carolina Arroyo; brother, Alan Arroyo; and loving nephews.
Jaime was a dedicated fan of the San Antonio Spurs and the Cleveland Browns. He loved spending time with his cousin and friends, playing baseball with his team, The Misfits. He will be deeply missed at family gatherings, where he was known for dancing the night away. Jaime will be profoundly missed by his entire family, as well as many friends he made throughout his life. As he often did in life, he sang for all to hear, reflecting his joyful spirit: “No quiero que lloren, no quiero sus lágrimas. Lleven a mi entierro música de banda. Échenme loquera y una de Buchanan's Por si hay otra vida. Seguir la parranda.” (Lyrics from “Mi Ultimo Deseo” by banda Los Recoditos)
