Irene Hernandez Mann's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Irene Hernandez Mann, who entered into eternal rest on August 31, 2025, at the age of 67. Irene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched all who knew her.
Born on February 24, 1958, Irene shared her life with her devoted husband, Jesse R. Mann, with whom she celebrated 49 years of marriage. Irene is survived by her loving children: Jesse Mann Jr. (Stephanie Payan), Arlene Mann, Darlene Mann, Irene Mann (Mike Nieto), Charlene Hernandez (Eden Hernandez), Marlene Mann, and Louis Adam Mann. She was also the proud grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Estella Hernandez, Yolanda Lopez (Joe Lopez), Mary Garcia, Michael Hernandez, and Letty Olivarri (Felipe Olivarri).
Irene is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos P. Hernandez and Alicia Longoria Hernandez, and her siblings, Sylvia Garcia (Guadalupe Garcia), Carlos I. Hernandez, and Margarita Medina.
Irene was a woman whose strength and resilience were matched only by the softness and kindness of her spirit. To know her was to witness a heart of gold in action—always giving, always caring, and always putting the needs of others before her own. She lived her life with quiet grace, lifting those around her with her unwavering love, compassion, and generosity.
Her legacy lives on not only in the cherished memories shared by her family and friends but in the countless lives she touched. Irene will be forever remembered as a beacon of love, a source of comfort, and a gentle reminder of the beauty in kindness.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at St. Mary Magdalene Church at 9:00 a.m. with burial to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
