Hope Judith Detwiler Shirey's Obituary
Hope Judith Detwiler Shirey was born December 16, 1967 in San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Shirey, age 46, went to be with the Lord, Monday, July 14, 2014. Ms. Shirey was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Stiles; father, Roy Elmer Detwiler, Jr.; stepdad, Albert Phelps; and niece Jessica Lowrance. She is survived by her son, Steven Shirey, daughter, Kimberly Shirey; sisters, Wilma and Joe Ray of San Antonio, Glenda and Jim Olson of San Antonio, Susan Luna of Castroville, and Sandy and Willie Bendo of Houston; brother Dan Lowrance; nieces, Diana Munselle, Jodi Lowrance, and Fryderyka Perez; nephews, Joseph Ray and Jerry Ray; and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was a loving, caring mother, sister, and aunt. She loved laughing and having a good time. Family and friends will forever miss and love her. A funeral service will be held July 21, 2014 at Camero Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in First Memorial Park Cemetery.
