Hilda Zuniga Calvillo's Obituary
We are saddened to announce the passing of Hilda Z. Calvillo, born on October 19th,1958, in Jourdanton, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who lived Most of her life in Charlotte and was one of a kind. Hilda was known for her hard work in the community, old school traditions, humor, being the life of the party, and her famous Barbecue, which brought the family closer together. She admired her grandkids, who were the light of her life. Hilda worked for Charlotte ISD ( Janitor & Bus Driver), Charlotte Mexican Cemetery, CYSA Program, was a city council member, and volunteered as an Umpire for softball. She brought many highlights to the Charlotte community, such as the country grocery store and Calvillo and Son trucking. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luis & Esperanza Zuniga, Husband Carlos Calvillo, Siblings Frances Morales, Rudy Zuniga, Arnfulo Zuniga, Elsa Mae Lozano & Joey Zuniga. Hilda is survived by Hortencia Martinez, Children, Valerie Vallejo & husband Sebastian, Carlos Calvillo Jr. & wife Diana, Katrina Calvillo, Grandchildren, Dominick Gonzales & wife Michaela, Alyssa Phillips & husband Trace, Jaylyn, Khloe & Carlos Trey Calvillo, along with many nieces and nephews, Gilbert Morales, Diane Segura, James Morales & many more. She will be missed dearly by many. Services will be held on Friday, September 12, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima in Charlotte, Texas, with mass to follow after the viewing.
