Guadalupe S. Orta's Obituary
Guadalupe "Walo" Orta, lifetime resident of Poteet, Texas, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2016 at the age of 83. Guadalupe graduated from Poteet High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He is preceded in death by his parents, Agustin and Petra Orta; sister, Catalina Villanueva, and brothers: Rodolfo, Rosalio, Teodoro, Severiano and Bernardo Orta and grandsons, Damien and David Garcia. He is survived by his loving family: daughters, Bridget Garcia, Monica Garcia, Leticia and spouse John Salinas, Priscilla and Sonya Orta; grandchildren: Amanda Garcia, Crystal and spouse Daniel Rivera, Bridget Lee Garcia, Davette and spouse Felipe Criado, Irene and spouse Miguel Alcorta, Alejandro & spouse Qrystl Garcia, Eva and Gerald Garcia, Michael and spouse Sarah Tijerina, Timothy and spouse Stacy Tijerina, Jannell and Janessa Salinas, Angel and spouse Frank Fernandez, Aaron and spouse Molly Salinas, Adrian Cruz, Louis Gomez, Jr. ,Auerlio, Guadalupe and Noah Garza, Isaih Griego; great grandchildren Saidee Almendarez, Aiden and Aaliyah Murray, Christoper, Eboni and Evan Rivera, Naleah Hernandez, Azaylia, Phillip, Felisha, Brooke and Felipe Criado, Sebastian, Sarita and Selene Tijerina, Aries Mata, Austin and Angelina Fernandez, Nathan Salinas, Miguel Jr., Nyellie, Anacellie and Daniel Alcorta and Emelia Garcia and one unborn grandchild and three unborn great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Carmen Cruz and Nieves and spouse Bartolomi Oropeza. Guadalupe will be remembered for his generosity and unconditional love for his daughters and their families.
