Rev. Mr. Guadalupe De Luna's Obituary
Reverend Mr. Guadalupe De Luna Villarreal was called to the Father’s House on January 27, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on March 8, 1958. Guadalupe devoted his life to service in his beloved Roman Catholic Church, and was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on October 7, 2025.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel De Luna Jimenez and Cristela Villarreal De Luna; grandmothers, Enriqueta Jimenez De Luna and Carmen Alcala Villarreal; nephew, “Fatboy” Rojiero De Luna Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Adela De Luna.
He is loved and will be missed by his siblings, Catarino, Maria del Carmen, Manuel Jr. and Rojiero; nephews & nieces, Catarino Jr., Gabriel, Rene, Clarissa, Cristela, Manuel III, Anthony and Bella; great-nephews & nieces, Madison, Miranda, Mateo, Alejandro, Karyna, Sebastian, Santiago, Jacob and Amelia; brother-in-law, Oliver Jones; sisters-in-law, Barbara De Luna and Melissa De Luna; and his beloved pet horse, Red.
All Services for Guadalupe De Leon will be held at St. Joseph-South San, 535 New Laredo Hwy, San Antonio, Texas 78211, on Friday, October 10, 2025. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m.. A Funeral Procession will depart the Church immediately after the Mass for the Interment, which will take place at First Memorial Park in Von Ormy.
