Guadalupe V. Banda's Obituary
Guadalupe V. Banda passed away on Tuesday July 15, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 14, 1951, to parents, Julio Villanueva and Andrea Patlan Villanueva in Brownsville TX. She had a deep love for cooking and baking, always finding joy in preparing delicious meals and treats for those around her. In her younger years, she was passionate about sewing, crafting beautiful clothes and handmade items for her entire family with care and skill. Family meant the world to her, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. Whether it was preparing a warm meal or sharing stories around the table, she loved being surrounded by their laughter and company. Her nurturing spirit, generosity and strength made her the heart of her family’s home, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by her parents Julio and Andrea Villanueva, son, Jason Erasmo Banda, and brothers, Alvaro Villanueva, Salome Villanueva and Louie Villanueva.
She is survived by her husband of forty six years , Erasmo Banda, children, Erica Cruz Banda, Sara Andrea Rodriguez (Gilbert), grandchildren, Robert Carrasco III, Juliet Jordan Carrasco, Selena Sarah Carrasco, Devin Nathan Rodriguez, Sarah Victoria Rodriguez, Aubrey Rose Rodriguez, siblings, Jerry Villanueva, Janie Perez, Sophie Villanueva, Julio Villanueva Jr., Maria Ramos, Raul Villanueva, Peter Villanueva numerous extended family members and friends.
A visitation for Guadalupe will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 TX-16, Von Ormy, TX 78073.
