Gloria Z. Gutierrez, entered into rest on Sunday, December 17, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Gutierrez was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Josephine Zapata; son, Ernest Gutierrez, Jr.; granddaughter, Adelina Gutierrez; and brother, Ernest Zapata. Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her loving husband, Ernest Gutierrez; son, Ernest Gutierrez, III; daughters, Margie Gutierrez, Stephanie Gutierrez (Stephen Valdez), and Gloria J. Gutierrez (Christopher Flores); 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 brothers; 6 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gutierrez will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Alamo Brooks Funeral Home and Cremations, 3706 South WW White Road, San Antonio, TX 78222. A rosary service will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. The funeral procession will depart from the funeral home on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1819 Nevada St., San Antonio, TX 78203 at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Road, San Antonio, TX 78239. Services under the direction of Alamo Brooks Cremations, Plus.
