Gloria Delgado's Obituary
Gloria M. Delgado passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the age of 92 years. Mrs.Delgado was born to parents, Miguel and Antonia Salsedo on March
22 ,1930 in San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by both her parents, Miguel and Antonia; husband, Gilbert E. Delgado; brothers, Mike Salsedo and Anthony Gerard Salsedo, as well as her daughter, Susan Ann Castano. Gloria is survived by her sister, Alice Garcia; sons, Daniel P.Deffee(Bertha) and Steven M. Deffee(Kathy); grandchildren, Michael Deffee(Johnny Ray Zavala), John Jay Deffee, Kimberly Jo Mills(Brad), Steven A. Deffee(Ana Padilla)and Noah Castano, as well as her great grandchildren, Gabriel Jaden Reyes, Colton Layne Mills, and Kaisley Jo Mills. Gloria worked at a few different jobs throughout her long-blessed life, such as working as a school crossing guard, and helping people look fashionable during her time at Solo-serve and Farah Slacks. Some things that gave her great joy in her life aside from her family, included watching the catholic channel and praying the rosary. She enjoyed being a prayer warrior and laughing along with the Golden Girls. She also liked spending time doing some light yardwork and gardening as well as cheering on the San Antonio Spurs. She was a very strong, hard working, religious woman who raised her wonderful children all on her own and exuded that “never give up attitude”. She would pray daily for everyone and all you had to do was ask and with her obedient heart, she would pray for you, too.
She is a woman who will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her.
