Gloria Garcia Carrillo's Obituary
Gloria was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 9, 1953 and went to rest with our Lord on January 8, 2016. She passed away peacefully at Christa Santa Rosa surrounded by Family and Friends. She joins various family members in heaven, including her Parents Julian & Micaela and Connie Atherton, her Sister; Brother, Julian Carrillo Jr.; Sister, Guadalupe Carrillo; Brother, Antonio Carrillo; Sister Guadalupe Gonzalez. She is survived by her Partner of 28 years, Marty Madrigal, brothers Leo Carrillo, Arthur B. Carrillo and Sister Terry Arroyos all from Bakersfield California. Twelve Step-Sisters and Brothers, in San Antonio, Tx., numerous Cousins, Nieces and Nephews, extended loving Family and a Host of Friends.A Celebration of Gloria’s life will be held this Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven 11150 Madonna - LaCoste rd Atascosa Tx 78002. Rosary will begin at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10 AM and a reception to follow after the Services next to the ChurchA graveside service will take place on January 26, 2016 at 9:00 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.Gloria, or as many of us knew her as, “Sarge” was an Employee of Southwest Airlines, for 19 years. Prior to her career at Southwest Gloria served in the United States Army for 8 years discharged from the Army at the Rank of Sargent.In lieu of flowers please make donations in Gloria’s name to Wounded Warriors or The American Cancer Society.
