Georgina Barrera's Obituary
Georgina Barrera was born in Karnes City, Texas on July 21, 1964 and went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on September 10, 2025 at the age of 61. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Rogerio G. Barrera and Aurora Esparza Barrera. Georgina is survived by her loving sisters, Socorro Barrera and Juana M. Barrera (Patricia); her niece, Jessica Mirna De Hoyos; her aunt, Antonieta Esparza; her cousins and many dear friends.
Gina was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece and a very much loving person to all. She loved to dance and sing all kinds of music. She loved to draw dresses from certain characters on TV. She also loved to read, write, and cook simple dishes. She liked helping us make tamales on Christmas time.
Gina graduated from South San High School and was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. She was a Guadalupana and would help her sister with her catechism class every once in a while. She made her Cursillo in 2004 and was active with her sister at Ultreyas. She was able to serve in one Cursillo weekend as a Table Leader.
Gina is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Her spirit will remain in the hearts of all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Visitation will be held at Camero Funeral Home on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with burial to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
