Gaspar B. Cantu's Obituary
Gaspar B. Cantu, 80 years old, from Poteet, Texas was a giving man, who never asked for anything in return. Despite a gruff exterior he had a heart of gold and a disarming charm that shined most when he was telling stories, or jokes – which he was always doing. He loved the outdoors, was a hunter and enjoyed doing anything outside. You could always catch him tinkering with an engine of some sort. He loved babies and had friends where ever he went. He retired after 25 years as the head of maintenance at H.B. Zachry Company, and as in life, was a constant friendly staple whether in the yard, or in the office, or at home. He had a smile and wave for everyone who crossed his path. He knew no strangers.
