Francisco C. Garcia's Obituary
Francisco C. Garcia passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
He was born on April 2, 1935, in Santa Juana, Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico, and carried his roots, values, and traditions with pride throughout his life. Francisco was a devoted husband, a loving family man, and a source of strength and guidance to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Garcia and Paulina Calvillo Garcia; his siblings, Guadalupe Garcia, Gerardo Garcia, and Jesus Garcia; his sons, Manuel Garcia and Manuel G. Garcia and his grandchild Diego J. Lopez.
Francisco is survived by his beloved wife, Abelina G. Garcia, whom he shared a life built on love, faith, and dedication for 74 years. He is also survived by his siblings, Herlinda Gonzalez, Andres Garcia, Nolberto Garcia and Romona Ortega; his children Eva Garcia (Joaquin Ibarra), Javier Garcia (Rosario Garcia), Oscar Garcia (Amelia Garcia), Maricela Garcia, Armando Garcia, Oralia Lopez (Robert Lopez), Francisco Garcia, Rosie Garcia (Daniel Garcia) and Mario Garcia (Monica Garcia); 29 grandchildren; over 50 great-grandchildren, extended family, and many friends who will forever cherish his memory, wisdom, and warmth.
Francisco will be remembered for his hard work, his faith, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Brookehill Funeral Home, 711 SE Military Drive, San Antonio, TX 78214.
On Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, the funeral home procession will depart at 10:30 a.m. to St. Joseph South San Catholic Church, 535 New Laredo Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78211 for an 11:00 a.m. funeral mass. Interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 State Hwy 16 South, Von Ormy, TX 78073.
