Frances C. Hernandez, 72, a beloved soul born on October 24, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 25, 2024. Her life’s journey was filled with moments of determination, love, and joy. She was a testament to the values of dedication and kindness.
Frances leaves behind a legacy characterized by her willingness to help others and wonderful smile that would light up any room.
Frances was a dedicated employee at The Forum of Lincoln Heights for 25 years. She worked in the independent and assisted living healthcare business office. She loved all the residents she had the pleasure of helping daily. She also volunteered her time to hold a cooking class for the residents.
Frances was the force that held her family together through thick or thin. She loved cooking breakfast on any given Saturday morning for our very large family. She enjoyed growing her garden and watching her flowers bloom. Above all, she loved her family unconditionally.
Frances is survived by her husband of 25 years Jesus D. Hernandez, children Christine Johnson (Charles), Veronica Gonzalez (Oscar), Elisabeth Tovar (Dwayne), her only son Gregorio Tovar Jr, stepsons, Ernest, and Jesse Hernandez. She also leaves behind a brother Juan Cardenas (Terri), sisters Herminia Hernandez (Rudy) and Diana Cardenas. Frances also leaves behind her 11 grandchildren who love her and will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Angelita Cardenas and brother Jose A. Cardenas.
