Fortino O. Leyva's Obituary
Fortino O. Leyva was called home to the Father's House on May 4, 2026, at the age of 86. He was born in the beautiful country of México on August 12, 1939.
Fortino could be called the traditional "Mexicano," a man with a strong work ethic and provider for his family. He was a workaholic, always keeping himself busy. He worked in construction most of his life, and retired from the Union at the age of 55. Family was important to Fortino. The family knew that Easter and Thanksgiving were definitely to Fortino. It was a tradition to gather the entire family for these holidays.
Fortino is preceded in death by son, Fortino Leyva, Jr.; daughter, Elva Elena Leyva; parents, Miguel Galvan Leyva and Maria Dolores Ordaz Leyva; and granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Davalos.
Missing Fortino greatly are his wife of 64 years, Maria Elena Lopez Leyva; Children, Maria D. Mollen and husband Fred, Maricela Leyva and husband Hilario, Gerardo Leyva, Juan Manuel Leyva, Alfonso Leyva and Norma Patricia Leyva; 15 Grandchildren; and Great-grandchildren. Also mourning his passing are his Siblings, Jesus, Felicitas, Miguel, Eduardo, Ernesto and Enrique Leyva; Nieces, Nephews, extended Family and Friends.
