It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Faustino Mancha, who peacefully passed away on February 24, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife, children, and family. He was 84 years old.
Born on February 15, 1941, in Viesca, Coahuila, Mexico, Faustino lived a life rich in hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He spent over 30 years as an oilfield crane operator and heavy equipment operator, a profession he took great pride in. Later, Faustino and his eldest son, Faustino Jr., founded Mancha and Son’s Construction, a company that remodeled and built homes across Texas, leaving a lasting impact in many communities. His commitment to his work was matched only by the devotion he had to his family, always putting them first and offering a steady hand of support.
Faustino’s greatest joy was his family. He was a cherished husband to his beloved wife, Maria Mancha, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew them. Faustino is survived by his wife, Maria, and their five children: Janie Watkins (Steve), Elizabeth Bocanegra (Luis), Faustino Mancha Jr. (Flavia), Cristina Escobedo (Benito), and Steven Mancha (Amanda). His legacy continues through his grandchildren, who were the light of his life: Toni Watkins, Annalisa Bocanegra, Miranda Bocanegra, Gabriella Bocanegra, Dominic Bocanegra, Alaina Bocanegra, Aaron Mancha, Cristian Escobedo, Benjamin Escobedo, Sebastian Escobedo, Marissa Mancha, and Steven Mancha Jr., with 2 great-grandchildren, Delilah Bocanegra and Dominic Bocanegra.
Faustino was preceded in death by his parents, Marcelo Mancha and Santos Dominguez, and his beloved granddaughter, Jacqueline Mancha.
Beyond his career and family, Faustino had a love for the simple pleasures in life. He enjoyed playing the slots at any casino, and these moments brought him joy and a sense of excitement. Above all, he was a man who deeply valued the time spent with those he loved.
Faustino’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will cherish the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the laughter he shared. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and his legacy of hard work, love, and kindness will continue for generations to come.
A memorial service to celebrate Faustino’s life will be held at Palm Heights Mortuary on March 18, 2025, with a viewing and rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church on March 19, 2025, at 9:30 AM, followed by burial at First Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pasó más de 30 años como operador de grúas en el campo petrolero y operador de equipos pesados, una profesión de la cual se sintió muy orgulloso. Posteriormente, Faustino y su hijo mayor, Faustino Jr., fundaron Mancha and Son’s Construction, una empresa que remodeló y construyó viviendas en todo Texas, dejando un impacto duradero en muchas comunidades. Su compromiso con el trabajo fue solo igualado por la devoción que tenía a su familia, siempre poniéndolos primero y ofreciendo un apoyo constante.
La mayor alegría de Faustino era su familia. Fue un esposo querido para su amada esposa, María Mancha, con quien compartió 57 años de matrimonio. Juntos construyeron una vida llena de amor, risas y recuerdos que vivirán en los corazones de todos los que los conocieron. Faustino fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres, Marcelo Mancha y Santos Domínguez, y su querida nieta, Jacqueline Mancha.
Más allá de su carrera y su familia, Faustino disfrutaba de los placeres sencillos de la vida. Le gustaba jugar en las tragamonedas de cualquier casino, y estos momentos le brindaban alegría y emoción. Sobre todo, era un hombre que valoraba profundamente el tiempo que pasaba con sus seres queridos.
El recuerdo de Faustino vivirá en los corazones de su familia y amigos, quienes atesorarán las lecciones que enseñó, el amor que dio y las risas que compartió. Fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo devoto, y su legado de trabajo arduo, amor y bondad continuará por generaciones.
Un servicio conmemorativo para celebrar la vida de Faustino se llevará a cabo en Palm Heights Mortuary el 18 de marzo de 2025, con una vigilia y rosario a partir de las 6:00 PM. Se celebrará una misa en la Iglesia Católica St. James el 19 de marzo de 2025, a las 9:30 AM, seguida de su entierro en el Cementerio First Memorial Park.
