Evangelina R. Duque's Obituary
Evangelina was born on April 14, 1937 in Bruni, Texas. She moved to San Antonio where she met her husband Ruben Duque, Sr. and married him on October 5, 1957. In their 66 years together they had 6 kids, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to Hank Williams, Sr. and instilled a great appreciation for his music in all of her grandchildren.
She credited her great-grandchildren to keeping her young as she got older. She could be found chasing them in the yard, playing like she was one of the kids while being in her 70s. She welcomed everyone into her home and greeted them with big hugs. She would give blessings to everyone leaving her home and wave them off from her porch.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ignacio Sr. And Sereviana Ramirez; her sister Valentina Perez and brothers Ignacio Sr. Ramirez, Pedro Ramirez, and Domingo Ramirez; and her children Diana Flores and Daniel Duque. She is survived by her husband Ruben Duque Sr.; her sister Connie Luna; her children Dalia Cuellar, Otilia Duque, Ruben Duque Jr., and Edward Duque; her 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was a strong and special lady who was loved by all. She will be missed.
