Eulalia (Lala) Carmona's Obituary
Lala Carmona, 74, born August 28, 1951 in El Paso, TX passed away on August 31, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. She was surrounded by close family and friends when the Lord called her home.
Lala is survived by her husband, Jose Luis, daughters Elizabeth (Patricia) Contreras and Nadia (Vicente) Vargas, grandaughters Ixchel and Ariela. Siblings: Mary Hagemaster, Joe Bejarano, Dolores Bejarano-Foggia, and Eddie Bejarano.
Lala was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She grew up in El Paso, Texas with her parents and surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins (her primos). She is a graduate of Father Yermo High School, attended UTEP for a time and then moved to San Antonio, Texas with her husband and two daughters. In San Antonio, she was involved in her daughters school activities and a Band Booster parent and President for the John Jay High School band. She also received her Associate's degree and dedicated her life's work to educating children, including those with special needs. Lala worked for Northiside ISD for 28 years, until her retirement in 2020. After that her new favorite job was being a full time grandmother and an avid gardener.
Lala is preceded in death by her mother, Petra Samaniego and father, Jose C. Bejarano.
Services:
A memorial service will take place at 20567 Von Ormy, Texas. 78073 on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4-7 p.m.
A rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 9:30 A.M. at St. Marks Catholic Church located at 11700 Pebble Hills Blvd. El Paso TX. 79936 with a Celebration and memory of Lala's life to follow right after Mass at 3066 Oak Crest Circle.
