April 3,1954 - June 26, 2025
With profound sadness, the family of Elsa I. Alvarado announces her passing on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the age of 71.
Elsa dedicated many years of her life as a beloved Pre-K Assistant with South San Independent School District (SSAISD). Her gentle spirit, nurturing heart, and unwavering dedication touched the lives of countless young students. She was especially known for her artistic talents, often bringing joy and creativity to the school hallways through her beautifully decorated bulletin boards. Her pride in her students and their accomplishments was evident in all she did.
Elsa's life was a shining example of kindness, faith, and love. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and lived each day with grace and compassion. Her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire for generations to come.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Dora Ibarra, and her brother, Andrew Ibarra.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Willliam V. Alvarado of 56 yrs; daughters, Belinda Gill (Lawrence) and Melinda Serrata (Frank); and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Amanda Serrata, Samantha Gonzalez (Richard), Lawrence Gill (Alicia), Lena Carmona (Randy), and Frank Serrata (Fernanda Sanchez); Rylee Gonzales, Catalina Serrata, Rayden Gonzales, and soon-to-arrive baby Lorraine Gill. Elsa is also survived by her sisters, Gloria Ibarra and Betty Ibarra, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Elsa was deeply loved by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, former students, and colleagues. She will be missed beyond words. A celebration of Elsa's life will be held in the coming days. All who knew and loved her are welcome to gather in remembrance and gratitude for her life, her kindness, and the many lives she touched.
