I never thought of Lily as a mother-in-law. I thought of her as a Mom and sister in Christ. I loved her so very much. I will miss our talks and Bible studies. We know my beautiful mother in law is with Jesus now, happy, enjoying eternity in Heaven. We know this because Jesus was the center of her life. We trust that God is sovereign over all things. We have the hope of the Resurrection and so we don’t sorrow as others who do not know the Lord. I know I will see her again. I know that she would want us to experience the same love of Jesus she knew. She always reminded us to put Jesus first in our lives.
But please pray for us during this time on this earth as we will miss her. She will leave a large void in our lives. I was truly blessed to have her in my life. It’s rare to find a Mother in-law like her. She truly loved God and loved people. She was devoted to her church, raise money for orphans, and people in need. She always found a way to help others with whatever money she had. She always made an effort to show her love for us. She will buy or make her love ones a gift with what ever she had. She took her time to write us letters to encourage us in a lift us. Some people would say I won the jackpot lottery for having the best mother-in-law. Not many can say that. She was a great friend, Mother and grandmother this family could want. she enriched our lives in countless ways.
I will miss her smile and warm loving hugs. Until we see each other again, I will cherish our memories.
