Eli Cruz's Obituary
Eli Cruz was born in San Antonio Texas to Frank and Alicia Cruz on 01/30/1974 and passed away on 01/21/2023 just shy of his 49th birthday.
Eli graduated from West Campus in 1993 and attended Palo Alto College. After that he embarked on a career in Telecommunications where he travelled extensively throughout the country. As a matter of fact he was in New York during 09/11 and assisted a man in distress shortly after the attack on the Twin Towers. This was totally in keeping with his compassionate personality.
While he was in Chicago he met the love of his life, Dina and they married in June of 2004. From that day forward they were happily by each others side and she even started travelling with him. They saw many beautiful places together and had a fun and loving relationship.
He is survived by his parents, his loving wife, and brother Omar (Candace) Cruz with whom he had a special relationship. He is also survived by siblings Duvelza (Don) Colbath, Isaac Ceniceros, Angie (Chuck) Rogers, and John (Ruby) Cruz. He was a crazy uncle to Omar Rene, Xavier, Levi, and Ollie, whom he adored spending time with and watching grow, along with several other nephews and nieces and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother and sister in law Tom and Jennifer Granger, Amanda (Michael) Beskow, Ashley (Jordan) Schlipf and Arin Granger and numerous family and friends.
Besides his wife and family Eli loved the Texas Longhorns, the Chicago Cubs and Judas Priest, and even met lead singer Rob Halford
