Dominga G. Hernandez's Obituary
Dominga G. Hernandez, born in Floresville, Texas on August 4, 1922 to Bonifacio Garza and Regina Canales Garza passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 in Jourdanton, Texas at the age of 96 years. Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Hernandez, Sr. and son in law, Gilbert F. Rodriguez. She is survived by her daughters, Simona Camacho (Manuel), and MaryJane Rodriguez; son, Juan G. Hernandez, Jr. (Lucy L.); 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren; also numerous other relatives and friends. Mrs. Hernandez enjoyed spending time with her family. She was lovingly called Wela by her family. Every year she would make tamales and invite family over to spend Christmas Day with her. She liked to bird watch, and had a collection of ceramic birds. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Camero Funeral Home. A Rosary Service will be held on Wednesday Evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1608 Campbell Ave., Jourdanton, Texas. Everyone is asked to meet at Church. Burial will follow in San Jose Catholic Cemetery, Jourdanton, Texas. Arrangements under the direction of Camero Funeral Home.
