Delores A. Kjos' Obituary
Delores Ann Kjos, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 63.
She was born on September 7, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas. Delores lived a life defined by her loyalty and strong family values. She was known for her kindness, quick wit, her love of life and for the way she made those around her feel loved, supported and welcomed.
She married Joseph Kjos on March 22, 1986, in San Antonio, Texas. Together they shared 39 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, and creating countless memories that will always be cherished.
She was a devoted mother who gave selflessly, loved deeply, and showed up consistently in both ordinary moments and life’s greatest challenges. Her guidance, warmth and unwavering presence helped shape the lives of those she loved.
Her grandchildren had a special place in her heart. She was elated watching them grow, celebrating their milestones, and sharing in their everyday lives. Whether through stories, tradition, laughter or quiet moments of encouragement, she made each grandchild feel deeply loved and uniquely special. Her legacy will live on through her family in countless ways.
Delores found joy in baking and spending time with family. These were not just activities, but reflections of who she was.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Amanda and husband Dwayne, Jessica and husband Justin, and Kaitlyn; six grandchildren, Tanner, Carter, Sarah, Aubrey, Avery and Kennedy. She is also survived by her brother Randy; sisters Connie and her husband Richard, Donna and Cathy; as well as countless nieces and nephews. Delores is reunited in rest with her parents Arthur and Athea Richardson; daughter Jennifer Kjos; her husband’s parents Milo and Gloria Kjos; brother Stanley Richardson; sister Patty Flores; and brothers-in-law Michael Kjos, Billy “Bubba” Stanteen, and Leonard “Harold” Truitt.
Though we grieve her passing, we give thanks for her life and the love she shared so freely. Her memory will live on in the legacy of love she leaves behind.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
