David M. Vela's Obituary
David M. Vela, born on October 25, 1955, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 68 years old. David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents Gonzalo C. Vela and Consuelo Montemayor Vela, brother; Gonzalo Vela, Jr. Nephew Steve T. Vela, and sister Gloria Vela. Mr. Vela is survived by his wife Priscilla Vela and daughter Alexis Nichole Vela, and stepson Larry Escobedo and stepdaughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Alex Ramirez, Nephew Oscar Vela, Sr. and wife Patricia, and sisters and brothers-in-law; Aurora Guerra and Johnny, Maria Elena De La Garza, Lilia Balle and Ruben, and Angie Peñalver and Chris; also three grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Mr. Vela was a caring, strong, and kind-hearted man. He was generous with his time and loved helping others. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mr. Vela was a Commercial Construction Truck Driver for The Coke Cola Company, McCoy's Building Supply and Material, and assistant at O'Reilly Auto Supply.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Camero Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with an evening service beginning at 6:00 p.m. On Wednesday, March 27, 2024 visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a Chapel Service at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery .
