David H. LaQue's Obituary
David Hernandez LaQue , loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest on February 6, 2023 at the age of 63. He was respected by his family and friends too numerous to mention. Known for his unique and wild dance moves, he knew how to get the crowd going. He also had a deep love and connection to his neighborhood and the people in it, making him a true “SouthSider”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Josie; he is survived by his wife, Leticia ; his children, Yvonne, David, and Laura; his grandchildren, Dmitri, Roman,Daphne,Dlilah,Layla, and Emmry; and his siblings, Alice (Bengie),Tommie,Richard,Albert, and Rachel. David loved nature and animals, especially his dog Daisy who is in heaven with him.He also enjoyed being outside, spending countless hours creating landscape and mural masterpieces inspired by his “visions”. He enjoyed Market Square, Fiesta, live music and any reason to celebrate the city that he loved so much, San Antonio. As “King of Somerset Road”, he hosted many parties with friends and loved ones at “LaQueville”. Not only was he a fun guy to be around, he was also a great storyteller and a good person to get advice from. As we all know, all good things must come to an end…but this isn’t good-bye. So until we meet again-we love you and will keep your memory alive.
Funeral visitation services will be at the Camero Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16 from 3pm-8pm with a rosary from 6pm-6:30pm. Burial services will be on Friday,February 17 at 9am at the First Memorial Park Cemetery, section 6. We ask guests to meet at the gravesite.
