Daniel S. Tafoya's Obituary
Daniel S. Tafoya, 69, of Von Ormy, Texas passed away surrounded by his family on July 06, 2021. Daniel was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on October 15, 1951. Since his youth he worked hard to help provided for his younger siblings. In his early twenties he played professional Mexican baseball for Los Dorados de Chihuahua. Daniel came to the U.S for a stable beginning and he was self-employed as dump truck owner/operator and worked under his own authority to provide for his family.
Daniel was the second of ten children of Jose and Juliana Tafoya. Daniel was survived by his spouse of 38 years, Elena Tafoya; sons, Julio Martinez(Teresa) and Daniel Tafoya, JR (Christina); daughter, Denise Escalante(Mark) and grandchildren Maricela Martinez, Vincent Escalante, Victor Escalante and his faithful companion Buddy. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved him.
