Cristina Gloria Mejias' Obituary
April 25, 1969 – March 20, 2025
San Antonio, Texas
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Cristina Gloria Mejias, known to her loved ones as Tina, on March 20, 2025. Tina was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was 55 years old.
Tina was born on April 25, 1969, and was a lifelong resident of San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from high school and proudly earned her bartending license and paralegal certificate, accomplishments she carried with pride. Tina had a kind and loving heart, especially for animals. She adored her husband, Marcos, and was a proud mother to her two sons, Arturo (Arty) Nanez and Cristopher (Cris) Villanueva.
Stubborn and feisty in her youth, Tina found peace and strength in her faith later in life. When she encountered the spirit of God's word or a song, it would touch her heart deeply, filling her with His love and grace.
Tina enjoyed spending time on Facebook, sharing in the joy of others’ celebrations and offering prayers in times of need. Her love for her family and friends shone through her social media posts, where she often shared photos and videos of cats, spreading joy wherever she could.
Tina is preceded in death by her parents, Theodora (Patty) & Arturo (Art) Morales and baby Marcos.
Tina is survived by her devoted husband, Marcos Mejias, whom she shared a special bond with for 30 years. Together, they built a life of love and care. She is also survived by her two sons, Arturo (Arty) Nanez and Cristopher (Cris) Villanueva.
Tina is further survived by her father, Raymond Rodríguez, her brother, Richard Esparza (wife Michelle), Johnny Ray De La Rosa (wife Melinda), Arturo Morales (wife Connie), Eddie De La Rosa, and Mark Trevino. Her sisters, Andrea Quiroz (husband Rene), Dora Villa (husband Louie), Dolores Rodríguez, and Paula Arocha (husband Fernando), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, also survive her.
Tina’s love, spirit, and joy will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Camero Funeral Home, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10:00 am where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and the many ways, she touched the hearts of those around her.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others.
