Consuelo Ramírez Estrada
Consuelo Ramírez Estrada, de Lampazos, Nuevo León México, falleció pacíficamente en su hogar rodeada de su familia el 30 de Junio de 2025 con 81 años en Von Ormy, Tx.
Consuelo nació el 29 de Abril del 1944, hija de Andrés Ramírez y Consuelo Cruz. Se casó con su esposo Oscar Estrada el 11 de Julio de 1963 en Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, México. Juntos tuvieron siete hijos, Patricia Estrada, Yolanda Espino (Gerardo), María Isabel Perrett, (Librado), San Juana Estrada, Oscar Estrada Jr. (Karla), Jesús “Chuy” Estrada y José Estrada.
Juntos, Oscar y Consuelo se mudaron a San Antonio, Texas, en Diciembre de 1984 y pronto se establecieron en Von Ormy, Texas. Fue aquí donde Consuelo crio a sus hijos. Como migrante, trabajó en diversos empleos. Fue trabajadora agrícola, dedicó tiempo a la atención médica domiciliaria para personas mayores. Pero, la mayor parte de su carrera se desarrolló con el servicio alimenticio en una escuela primaria, donde daba alimentos a los jóvenes estudiantes y ayudaba con las diversas tareas de la cocina.
A Consuelo le encantaba conocer gente nueva; hablar con la gente era su gran especialidad. Sentía un cariño enorme por todos los que conocía. Dedicaba su tiempo a Dios, a sus hermosos rosales y flores, y tenía muy claro que su familia era su mayor alegría y un regalo de Dios. Consuelo sentía una inmensa alegría por sus nietos: Mario, Erik, Gil (Brittany), Iván (Shina), Jorge (Nancy), Dayse (Salvador), Noemi (Raider), Elizabeth, Kimberly (Jonathan), Eric (Jennifer), Mark, Elizabet, Abygail, Deserie, Kassandra, Angelita, Josie, José, Tesla, Anthony, Crystal y Christian. Además de sus bisnietos, Mario Jr., Erika Sophia, Anthony, Ayali, Santo, Easton, Elliot, Luxe, Isaí, Isaac, Ella, Emilia, Erian, Emerie, Ronnie, Evalynn, Isabella, Byron, Ángel, Sophia, Dio, Sirenedy, Victoria, Alena, Bryson y Joel Jr., quienes la conocieron como Abuelita Chelo.
Consuelo siempre será recordada como una amorosa madre, esposa, tía, abuela y bisabuela. Pero, sobre todo será recordada por su ferviente fe en Jesucristo. Fue miembro de la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día y aprovechaba cualquier oportunidad para hablar de la grandeza de Dios. Su fe siempre se mantuvo firme, incluso en la lucha contra su enfermedad. Animó a todos a confiar en Dios en todas las dificultades y a permanecer fieles a Él. ¡El regalo de su preciosa vida, está por siempre en nuestros corazones!
Le sobreviven su esposo, sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos, sus hermanos Enrique Elizalde, Dagoberto Elizalde y su hermana Yolanda Ramírez. Le precedieron en fallecimiento sus padres y sus hermanos Pedro Ramírez, Guadalupe Ramírez, Mario Ramírez, Guadalupe Elizalde y Antonio Elizalde.

Consuelo Ramirez Estrada
Consuelo Ramirez Estrada, 81, of Lampazos, Nuevo Leon Mexico, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on June 30, 2025 in Von Ormy, Tx.
Consuelo was born to the late Andres Ramirez and Consuelo Cruz on April 29, 1944. She married her husband Oscar Estrada on July 11, 1963 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico. Together they had seven children, Patricia Estrada, Yolanda Espino (Gerardo), Maria Isabel Perrett, (Librado), San Juana Estrada, Oscar Estrada Jr (Karla), Jesus “Chuy” Estrada, and Jose Estrada.
Together, Oscar and Consuelo moved to San Antonio Tx in December of 1984, then soon, settled in Von Ormy tx. It is here where Consuelo raised her kids, and worked many jobs as a migrant agricultural worker, and spent time working as a home health aide for the elderly. The majority of her career was in food service for a local elementary school.
Consuelo loved meeting new people, talking to people was a great specialty of hers! She had a loving affection for everyone she came across, She dedicated her time to the Lord, her beautiful rose bushes and flowers, and was very clear that her family was her greatest joy and gift from God. Consuelo would feel immense joy of her grandkids- Mario, Erik, Gil (Brittany), Ivan (Shina), Jorge (Nancy), Dayse (Salvador), Noemi (Raider), Elizabeth , Kimberly (Jonathan), Eric (Jennifer), Mark, Deserie, Kassandra, Angelita, Elizabet, Abygail, Josie, Jose, Tesla, Anthony, Crystal and Christian. As well as her great- grandchildren, Mario Jr, Erika Sophia, Anthony, Ayali, Saint, Easton, Elliot, Luxe, Isai, Isaac, Ella, Emilia, Erian, Emerie, Ronnie, Evalynn, Isabella, Byron, Angel, Sophia, Dio, Sirenedy, Victoria, Alena, Bryson and Joel Jr.- who all knew her as Abuelita Chelo.
Consuelo will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, but of all things, she will be remembered for her fervent faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and utilized any opportunity to talk to others about the greatness of God. Her faith stood strong and even in the battle of her sickness, she encouraged all others to trust God through all hardships and remain faithful to him. His gift of her precious life, is forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grand children, brothers Enrique Elizalde, Dagoberto Elizalde and sister Yolanda Ramirez and Proceeded in death by her parents, and her siblings Pedro Ramirez, Guadalupe Ramirez, Mario Ramirez, Guadalupe Elizalde and Antonio Elizalde.
