Charlie R. Carrasco's Obituary
Charlie Carrasco, a native of Poteet, Texas passed away on May 15, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas.
Charlie graduated from Poteet High School and shortly thereafter lived in Hereford until he settled in Amarillo. Charlie worked at Owen Corning for over 35 years before he retired.
Charlie loved to fish and travel. When he came back to Poteet, he enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Those that knew Charlie knew how much he cherished his dogs Buddy, Pierre and Loki.
Charlie is survived by his mother Nicolasa Carrasco, sisters Pauline Valdez and Osanna Carrasco, numerous nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces, and his friend Sandra Navarro.
Charlie is preceded in death by his father Abelino Carrasco Jr., brother Robert Carrasco Sr., sister Angelita Carrasco Sanchez, brother Don Carrasco, Great Nephew Paul and Great Niece Alyssa. Charlie is now reunited with his beloved Buddy and Pierre.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at St. Phillip Benizi Catholic Church in Poteet, with a Mass at 12:00 P.M. Interment to follow at Madre Dolorosa Cemetery 2.
