Celia R. Ramos' Obituary
Celia Rodriguez Ramos, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of Jehovah, entered her eternal rest on January 6, 2025, to await paradise. She was born to Pedro and Marta Rodriguez on October 31, 1946, in Rowena, Texas, where her journey of love, faith, and resilience began.
Celia married the love of her life, Rodrigo Z. Ramos, and together they built a life with love and cherished memories.
Her love for Jehovah was the foundation of her life. As a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness, Celia found strength and peace in her faith, firmly believing in Jehovah’s promise of everlasting life in paradise. Her steadfast devotion inspired those around her, giving them hope and encouragement even in difficult times.
In her youth, Celia traveled across Texas and Oklahoma with her family as migrant workers, an experience that shaped her into a resilient, hardworking woman who valued the blessings of family and faith.
Celia’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rodrigo Z. Ramos, and her beloved children: Daughters, Maria E. Ramos, Leticia Hornbeek (husband Lee), Rachel R. Gonzales (husband Ventura), Elizabeth Ramos (husband Carlos Herrera);
Sons, Rudy Ramos and Ricky Ramos (partner Kimberly); Sisters, Olga R. Hernandez and Maria Eliza Falcon; Brothers, Edwardo Rodriguez Sr.(wife Frances), Roy Rodriguez Sr.(wife Alice) and Johnny Rodriguez(wife Anita). Celia has 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren whom brought light to her life, and she poured her love, guidance, and wisdom into every moment with them. Known for her “tough love,” Celia always spoke her truth with the intent to uplift, guide, and encourage her family to grow into their best selves. Celia is preceded in death by parents Pedro U. Rodriguez and Marta H. Rodriguez; her brothers, Jose Reyes Rodriguez and Frank Rodriguez; and her great grand-child Manuel Diaz.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Services will be held at Camero Funeral Home, 20567 Hwy 16 South Von Ormy, TX 78073 with visitation on January 10, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. -3:00 P.M. with a memorial talk at 1:00 P.M.
Celia now rests in peace, awaiting the fulfillment of Jehovah’s promise of everlasting life in paradise. Her unwavering faith and love remain an enduring inspiration to all who knew her.
