Casilda C. Vasquez born March 10, 1944 to Enrique T. Cruz and Magdalena Avila Cruz in Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Colorado at the age of 76 years. Mrs. Vasquez was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel J. Vasquez, son, Vincent C. Vasquez, father, Enrique T. Cruz, and mother, Magdalena Avila Cruz. Mrs. Vasquez is survived by her son and daughter in law, Omar and Shirley Vasquez; daughter and son in law, Marizza and Alvaro Gonzalez; brother, Henry Cruz; sisters, Irene Bernal, Patsy Baldes, Cleo Morgan, Diana Cruz Kiel, Loretta Shellar; grandchildren, Daniel C. Vasquez, Larrizza R. Vasquez, Barbara M. Gonzalez, Adriana Gonzalez, Alvaro E. Gonzalez, Gabriel Carrion-Cruz, and Thalia Santos; great-grandchildren, Cody CharlesVasquez, Zacchaeus Jacus Macias, and Hazel Sky Cantu; also numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and a host of friends. Mrs. Vasquez attended st. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church and was a long standing member of the Guadalupana Society. She loved Jesus and was strong in her faith, enjoyed reading her Bible and reciting the Rosary. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always looking forward for family to visit. Mrs. Vasquez was crafty and liked scrapbooking and collecting dolls. She also enjoyed attending the Senior Centers in San Antonio, playing bingo, gambling, and traveling. She had a beautiful smile and a giving heart.
