Candelaria A. Flores' Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Candelaria A. Flores, known by her loved ones and friends as Candy. On May 4, 2025, our Lord called her home at the age of 80. Preceded in death by her parents Jose and Elisa Amador, brothers Joe, Juan, Estevan, Ricardo, Eduardo and sister Josephine. Survived by siblings Olga, Carmen, Maggie, Alfredo, and Victor. Candy was the eldest sibling of 12, taking the role and responsibility as a big sister and mother. She is also survived by her 6 children David (Patty), Chris (Juanita), Janie (Rene), Israel, Diana (Sonny), and George (Nina). Including her 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and many extended family members and dear friends. Candy loved shopping, bowling, watching tv, making jokes and all things purple. She devoted her days serving our Lord and growing her faith, as she was an active member of Highland Hills SDA Church. Most importantly, she loved making memories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren that will be forever cherished. Candy was known to all as a strong, feisty and humorous woman of God leaving a mark wherever she went until her final days. With all life's troubles, she always found it in her heart to have the most patience and lived a selfless life caring for others. As a fearless and brave woman, she set the expectation to never give up and always keep fighting. Though she has gone to rest, she will always remain alive within our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life at 6:00 P.M. On Friday, May 16, 2025, visitation will begin at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Chapel Service at 10:00 A.M. interment will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
