Callie Evelynn Spates' Obituary
Callie Evelynn Spates passed away on May 24, 2022 at 25 years of age. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 20, 1996. Callie was loved dearly by her parents John Benjamin and Lillie Lynn Spates, her Sister Brittany Lynn (Quinton) Berdeaux, and brother John Benjamin Spates Jr.
Callie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sharon Spates; great-grandparents, Martin and Margaret Ross; uncle, J.B. Spates Jr.; great-uncle Robert Ross; and great-aunt Carol Johns. She is survived by her mother, Lillie Spates; father, John Spates, sister Brittany (Quinton) Berdeaux, and brother Ben Spates; grandparents J.B. Spates Sr., Marvin Ross, and Juanita Joyce Ross; aunts and uncles: Sharon and Patrick Hill; Toady and Bobby Moore; Joyce Spates; Maggie and Dwayne Stobbs; Becky and Eddie Dunsirn; Mark and Brenda Ross; Mona Ross; Laurie Ross; and James Kosler; great-uncle Jack Reynolds; and great-aunt Nedra Spates; also 13 cousins and numerous friends.
Callie will be greatly missed. Her smile, and cute dimples, lit up a room. Her heart was as big as the world. She loved her family and friends; she never missed a family function or a fun trip to the beach with her friends. Callie enjoyed watching anime, playing video games, drinking boba tea, and listening to Kpop. Callie’s witty spirit will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 from 4:30 P.M.– 9:00 P.M. at the Camero Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 10:30 A.M., at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Oak Island Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.camerofuneralhome.com
