Aurora Esparza Barrera's Obituary
Aurora Esparza Barrera was born January 29, 1932 and went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on February 19, 2023 at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 27 years, Rogerio G. Barrera; her father, Daniel Esparza Marroquin, her mother, Elvira Alanis Cantu de Esparza; her brothers, Daniel Esparza, Ubaldo Esparza, Jesus Esparza ; her sisters, Maria Esparza, Gloria Esparza (baby), and Purificacion Esparza. Aurora is survived by a sister Antonieta Esparza; children, Socorro Barrera, Georgina Barrera, Juana M. Barrera (Patricia) and a granddaughter, Jessica Mirna DeHoyos; nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She worked at a beer company in Mexico and as a CNA in a nursing home for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, working outdoors, on the yard, doing word search puzzles, drawing, working with math problems, and enjoyed playing sports like softball, archery, bowling, volleyball, basketball and swimming. She enjoyed watching soccer games and Canelo Alvarez boxing fights. She was a member of the church at St. Bonaventure and served as a lecturer, a Guadalupana, a Cursillista and along with her husband; Rogerio Barrera they belonged to Movimiento Familiar Cristiano at one time. She also received a certificate from the IFP program. Aurora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and loving friend to all. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery. Services entrusted with Camero Funeral Home.
