Ashley and I had been friends since we were about 6 or 7 years old. One of my clearest memories is walking up to her door, knocking, and asking if she could come outside to play. Back then, we never realized those ordinary moments would become memories we would carry for years.
Ashley was part of my childhood in such a simple and meaningful way. She was there during a time filled with imagination, laughter, and the kind of friendship that feels effortless. Even though time passed and life took us in different directions, hearing of her passing brought back those memories immediately.
I’m grateful I got to know her and grow up alongside her. I’ll always remember the girl behind that door and the memories we made together. Rest peacefully, Ashley.
