Antonio R. Paredes' Obituary
Antonio R Paredes, 84, of San Antonio, TX, went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2025.
Born on February 17, 1941, in Martindale, TX, he was a devoted husband to Eva M. Paredes of 54 years and a loving father to Guadalupe Segura (Jaime Segura), Antonio M. Paredes (Michelle Paredes), Stephanie P. Botello (Jesse R. Botello), and Amber Marie Hernandez (Eric Hernandez). He was a loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dad loved his siblings and their families very much Pilar Brubaker, (Bob), Clemente Paredes (Yolanda), Joe Paredes, Lupe Rios (Robert), Susie Paredes, Rosie Rodriguez (Santos), Mike Paredes (Jeannie), Frank Paredes and his late brother Juan (Mary Lu) along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was always happy when he was with his family & friends!
Dad was a hardworking and dedicated man, that took pride in all that he did in life. He spent 36 years as a construction worker and 7 years in maintenance. Through his life experiences he met many wonderful people and made many long-lasting friendships. He cherished the time he spent with his friends and extended family. He was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity and will always leave a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Dad’s family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in their accomplishments and shared dreams. He had a passion for sharing his knowledge, his wisdom and most importantly his sense of humor. Although Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, nonetheless he deserves to have his many years of fatherly love honored. He loved classic cars, listening to oldies, watching old westerns, talking on the phone daily on rotation starting with his siblings in the morning to his children in the evening like clockwork.
We find comfort in knowing that Dad’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
