Anita R. Martinez's Obituary
In loving Memory of Anita R Martinez
1934-2025
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved Anita, a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, mother, sister, and friend. She left us peacefully on 5/18/2025, surrounded by family and the gentle presence of the faith she held so dearly.
Anita was a woman of grace and unwavering devotion. Her days began and ended with prayer, her rosary and the bible never far from hand. Her kitchen table welcomed countless guests over the years for coffee, conversation, and comfort. With her signature apron and matching earrings, she was always ready to host with warmth and a smile that made everyone feel at home.
Family was the heart of her world. Summers with her grandchildren were treasured times, full of laughter, stories, and memories that will be passed down for generations. Her home was the gathering place for holidays, Sunday dinners, and spontaneous visits – always filled with the comforting sounds of love and togetherness.
She had zest for life and a love for travel, finding joy in new places and experiences. Long phone conversations with her sisters kept her connected to her roots, her laughter echoing down the line like music.
Anita taught us the meaning of unconditional love, kindness and the strength found in faith. She was the very best grandmother, a guiding light, and the steady anchor of our family.
She is survived by Raymond and Diana Balderrama, Johnny Balderrama, Robert and Betty Balderrama, Rosy Flores, Helen Klonek, Matilda Martinez, David and Rita Martinez; grandchildren, Charles, Brian, Blaine, Johnathon, Tayana, Rocky, Roberta, Louis, Mark, Jessica, Denise, Desiree, DeAndra, David, Kaitlyn, David, Stephen and Trey along with numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as sisters, Mary Perez and Gladys Garcia. Anita is preceded in death by her parents Jose & Josepha Rodriguez, Juan & Anastasia Rodriguez; sister, Feliz Paradez; and brothers Mike and Miguel Rodriguez.
