Andres P. Cruz Jr.'s Obituary
Andres P. Cruz Jr., lovingly known as "Andy", born on June 19, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2026, at the age of 71.
He is preceded in death by his father, Andres Cruz Sr., daughters, Bambina Cruz, Martina Lemus, stepdaughter, Irma Ramos, first wife Leonor, Sylvia, who are the mothers of his beloved children.
He is survived by his mother, Irene P. Cruz (Joe Serna); his beloved wife, Celia Ramos; his children, Chris Contreras (mother Leonor Castro Alejo d.2021), Regina Cruz (mother Sylvia Valdillez Chavez d.1999), Andrew Marfil and Angie Sanchez (Daniel) (mother Josie Marfil); his stepchildren, Jesse Ramos, Randy Ramos, Mark Rosas (Amelia) and Alejandro Rosas (Andrea); Josie Marfil, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, his siblings, Irene Elda Williams (Daniel), Esteban Cruz (Elva), Lidia Carrisal (Jose), Domingo Cruz (Julie), Juan Cruz, Enereida Melendrez and Amelia Lopez (Luis). Andy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Andy was a man of many talents and interests. He believed in the Catholic Faith, devoted time to prayer and loved scripture. He had a good choice of articulated vocabulary to express his ideas and thoughts. Andy was a music DJ, loved all kinds of music especially Tejano Music, enjoyed eating sweets, knew how to play the guitar, enjoyed playing pool, loved to dance, enjoyed creating woodwork crafts like cabinets and loved his Dallas Cowboys. He also loved barbecuing and spending time with his family. Andy will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, a Chapel Service will begin at 10:00 AM and interment will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 TX-16, VON Ormy, TX, 78073.
