Amelia M. Mielak's Obituary
Amelia M. Mielak, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and godmother was born August 6, 1944 to Norberto Martinez and Elizabeth Willborn Martinez in Poteet. Mrs. Mielak passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the age of 72 years surrounded by her family. Mrs. Mielak was preceded in death by her brother, Rosendo Martinez. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Anthony Mielak; son and daughter in law, Charles and Michelle Mielak; daughter and son in law, Shirley and Gregory Bracken; brother, Norberto Martinez, Jr.; sisters, Esmeralda Martinez, Mary Jane Martinez, Elizabeth “Lisa” Adams, Rosemarie Suarez, and Evangeline Romo; granddaughters, Addison Mielak and Arya Bracken; goddaughters, Gina Lynn Ladner and Natalie Ladner; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives as well as a host of friends. Molly as she was fondly called was a devout catholic and instrumental in starting St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church in Von Ormy. She loved spending time with her family and adored her granddaughters who called her “Nana”. She was a kind and generous person, always sharing with others, and enjoyed traveling, making her most recent trip to Lourdes, France this past year. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will begin on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the Camero Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary Service will be held Thursday Evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church. Everyone is to meet at the Church. Burial will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery.
