Alicia E. Flores' Obituary
Alicia E. Flores, from San Antonio, Texas entered into eternal rest on October 5, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on February 24, 1933, in Torreon, Mexico, Alicia lived a life filled
with love, faith and devotion to her family and her church.
Alicia was the beloved wife of the late Alfredo B. Flores, with whom she shared many
beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a home grounded in family values,
warmth, and laughter. She is survived by her daughter Dora Serrato (Richard), and sons
Alfred Flores Jr. (Gladys) and Alex Flores (Delia), grandchildren Amanda Madrigal
(Rudy), Brian Serrato (Leandra) and Alex Flores Jr. (Candace) and four great-grandchildren Jude Alejandro Flores, Roman Serrato, Lucian Serrato and Viviana Lucia
Madrigal. Alicia’s most cherished role was that of a loving mother and grandmother.
Helping to raise her three grandchildren brought her great joy and purpose.
Known for her kind heart and caring nature, Alicia was a true example of love in action.
Her gentle humor and good spirit brought smiles to all around her, and she often joined
in the playful teasing from her children with laughter that lit up the room. She taught by
example- the importance of family, compassion, and faith. A dedicated homemaker,
Alicia took pride in her yard, tending to her plants with patience and care. She found
peace and happiness in her garden, as well as in the taking time to watch her favorite
novelas, reading books and magazines. Her strong catholic faith guided her throughout
her life: she was a devoted member of St. Leonard’s Catholic Church for more than 65
years and held a deep devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Visitation will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapel South on October 13, 2025, from
5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will follow on October 14,
2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church, with interment at First Memorial
Park Cemetery, Von Ormy, Texas.
“Que Dios Te Bendiga” – Mom’s favorite blessing- will forever echo in the hearts of
those who loved her.
