Alfredo S. Moreno Jr.'s Obituary
Alfredo S. Moreno Jr. , returned home to our Lord and Savior on January 6, 2026. Alfredo also known as Freddy, was born in San Antonio, Texas to Alfredo and Elida Moreno Sr. He grew up on the west side of San Antonio as a child, along with his 5 siblings. The family later moved to Von Ormy, Texas where he would meet his wife of 50 years Fermina A. Moreno, and raise his daughters Anita Moreno Cruz, Becky Palominos and his son Alfredo A. Moreno III. He is preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Moreno Sr.
Alfredo was skilled in all trades of work, from auto mechanics to construction, he owned his own company as a custom painter with his brother for many years until his retirement.
Alfredo was a member of the Catholic Church where he would participate in the Saturday Masses, and even assisted in the maintenance and up keeping of the church itself.
He also was active in his community of Somerset, Texas where he was a little league coach for many years. Spending his afternoons and off days teaching one of his favorite sports.
His over all pride aside from his wife and children was his 9 grandchildren. Kristan Ray Cruse, Jonah C. Herrera, Arturo Palominos II, Mathew Palominos, Brandon Palominos, Ryan R. Cruz, Reagan R. Cruz, D’Marco Moreno, Zamiah Moreno and 3 great grandchildren Uriah & Levi Cruse and Lilith Herrera. He always was present for football games, graduations and school activities making time to be present in their lives, even in his final days to hear about them daily would bring a smile to his face.
