Adolfo Contreras entered into eternal rest on March 25, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 24, 1942, to parents, Victoria Tovar and Adolfo Contreras. He is leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, he lived a life filled with simple joys.
Adolfo was a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, never missing the chance to cheer on his favorite team. Whether it was football Sundays or days spent at the fishing dock, he embraced life’s moments with enthusiasm and a laid-back charm. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes, and he found peace and joy in the calmness of the water.
He also enjoyed the thrill of gambling, appreciating the excitement that came with every roll of the dice or spin of the slot machine. After a long day, Adolfo could often be found relaxing with a cold beer, sharing stories, laughter, and camaraderie with friends and family. His warm presence and easygoing nature made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.
Adolfo will be reunited in heaven with his wife, Tomasa Contreras; parents, Victoria and Adolfo Contreras; Grandson, Justin Penrod-Escobedo; and great-grandchildren, Maya Lily Contreras and Gabriel Rodriguez.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Guadalupe Contreras, Sr. (Toni), Maria Victoria Garcia (Leon, Sr.), Rachel Flores (William), Alicia Rodriguez (Felix, Sr.), Connie Ramirez (Johnny R.) Grandchildren; Guadalupe Contreras, Jr. (Beatrice), Tony Contreras (Andrea), Christina Lerma (Antonio), Amanda Garcia, Leon Garcia, Jr., Ricardo Contreras (Sarah), Hope Dancy, Alejandro Sandoval (Linda), Ana Penrod (Justin Penrod-Escobedo (PID)) , Adrianna Welsh (Willy Romo-Orozco), Felix Rodriguez, Jr. (Grethal), Robert Rodriguez (Savannah), Stephanie Rodriguez, Steven Roberts, Jr. (Jenna), Angela Kimbrough (Jonathan, Sr.), Sabrina Roberts (Jocelyn Moore), and Isabel White (Coy) .
